The Principal Investigator (PI) is the person in charge of the research project and is responsible for the conduct of the study. e.g. A student carrying out their academic research study is a PI

The ethical review process is an evaluation carried out to scrutinize the ethical aspects and considerations of research projects that involve human participants.

Ethical approval should be obtained prior to the commencement of any data gathering activities. For students, this usually takes place after the defense of their research proposal.

We do not directly assist in obtaining a NACOSTI permit, but we can guide you to the appropriate online platform for application.

The standard review process typically takes around 14 business days once the project has been allocated to a reviewer for evaluation.

For an expedited review, it usually takes between 4 to 5 business days after the project has been assigned to a reviewer. This is determined off of our SOPs.

We don’t assist with securing introductory letters; that is generally handled by your class administrator.
